State Foreign Minister MIYAJI Hosts a Luncheon Meeting with H.E. Mr. Vongsey Vissoth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia

On February 4, Mr. MIYAJI Takuma, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, hosted a luncheon meeting and exchanged views with H.E. Mr. Vongsey Vissoth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who is visiting Japan upon the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. An overview of the meeting is as follows.
- State Minister MIYAJI welcomed Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Vissoth’s visit to Japan and expressed his hope to see more progress of the bilateral relations of Japan and Cambodia. In response, Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Vissoth expressed his appreciation for the longstanding Japanese assistance to Cambodia, which has contributed to peace, reconstruction, and development in Cambodia. He also expressed his gratitude to the Japanese government for the arrangements made during his visit to Japan, and expressed his hope to learn from Japan's knowledge and experience in the administrative, digital, and economic fields during his visit.
- They also exchanged views on cooperation under “the three new cooperation approaches” and in the economic field. They also agreed to strengthen the coordination in bilateral and regional/ international affairs under the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”
