Meeting between State Minister MIYAJI and H.E. Dr. SOK, Senior Minister of Cambodia

On September 29, from 11:40 a.m. for approximately 45 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI Takuma held a meeting with H.E. Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who is visiting Japan. The summary of the meeting is as follows:

  1. State Minister Miyaji welcomed Senior Minister SOK Siphana to Japan. He expressed Japan’s intention to further advance bilateral economic relations through initiatives such as the “Economic Co-Creation Package” and collaboration on the development of Sihanoukville Port.
  2. In response, Minister Dr. SOK Siphana outlined Cambodia’s economic policy. He conveyed his expectations that the visit would contribute to the further development of economic relations between the two countries.
  3. Both sides affirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of fields, including economic and youth exchanges, under the framework of the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”
