- On Thursday, June 27, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani upon his nomination as the new Prime Minister and Interior Minister of the State of Qatar on Wednesday, June 26.
- In his message to H.E. Sheikh Abdullah, Prime Minister Abe expressed his congratulation on the nomination on behalf of the Government and people of Japan and expressed his intention to cooperate closely with H.E. Sheikh Abdullah to further strengthen the bilateral relations with Qatar.
