From October 6 to October 10, Mrs. Akie Abe visited the Republic of Indonesia (Bali) and Brunei Darussalam accompanying Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, where she had various exchanges with many people.
In Indonesia, Mrs. Abe participated in the program hosted by Mrs. Ani Bambang Yudhoyono, spouse of H.E. Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of the Republic of Indonesia, in which she deepened exchanges with Mrs. Ani Bambang Yudhoyono and the First Ladies of the APEC economic leaders, and exchanged opinions with Indonesian people associated with Japan and Japanese women who are active in Bali. In Brunei, Mrs. Abe participated in the official program hosted by the Brunei government, and after presenting at an audience with Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, visited a local handicraft exhibition guided by Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and observed Brunei’s traditional scenery of the Water Village.
