Mrs. Akie Abe held a meeting with Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa, spouse of H.E. Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. While expressing her gratitude for the elephants donated by Sri Lanka to the Tama Zoological Park and the support offered by Sri Lanka at the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Mrs. Abe conveyed her pleasure that exchanges between Japan and Sri Lanka have been deepened further in various areas.
