Mrs. Akie Abe held a meeting with Mrs. Raisa Atambaeva, spouse of H.E. Mr. Almazbek Atambaev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, during which she introduced the episode of sending seedlings of cherry blossom trees to the Kyrgyz Republic by Japanese private companies as a symbol of their gratitude for the assistance provided by the Kyrgyz Republic at the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
