Establishment of the Visit Japan Campaign (VJC) Promotion Committee in the United States and VJC Promotion Committee in New York

1. With a view to promoting the Visit Japan Campaign (VJC) in the United States, the Visit Japan Campaign (VJC) Promotion Committee in the United States and the VJC Promotion Committee in New York will be established in New York at 16:00 on Friday, 19 September (17:00 on 20 September, Japan time). The VJC Promotion Committee in the United States will be chaired by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ryozo Kato of Japan to the United States of America, and the VJC Promotion Committee in New York will be chaired by Consul General Hiroyasu Ando of Japan in New York.
2. These committees are established to provide assistance and cooperation for marketing activities in order to increase the number of American tourists to Japan, to publicize the allure of Japan, and to provide advice, from the perspective of the United States, with the aim of realizing the planning and implementation of the Visit Japan Campaign projects.
