Courtesy Call on Prime Minister Ishiba by Representatives Led by Mr. SAWADA, Chairman of the Japan-U.S. Business Council

On December 23rd, commencing at 15:35 p.m., for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, received a courtesy call from representatives led by Mr. SAWADA Jun, Chairman of the Japan-U.S. Business Council. The overview is as follows.
- Chairman Sawada handed over to Prime Minister Ishiba the Joint Statement issued at the 61st U.S.-Japan Business Conferenceheld in Washington, D.C. in October this year, and explained the Joint Statement and the meeting.
- In response, Prime Minister Ishiba expressed his respect for the work by the Japan-U.S. Business Council, which has been bringing together the voices of the business community for more than half a century to strengthen the Japan-U.S. economic relations. He also stated that the government takes the Joint Statement seriously and continues to cooperate with the Japan-U.S. Business Council to further develop the Japan-U.S. relations, while also taking into account the next U.S. administration.
