Bilateral Investment Trends

Japanese Investment in Canada
The flow of Japanese direct investment into Canada has been widening, particularly in the manufacturing sector (lumber, pulp, automotive trends), real estate, and finance. In fiscal 1995, Canada accounted for 1.1 percent of the total in Japanese foreign direct investment, and supplied Japan with 0.4 percent of all direct investment.
