Foreign Minister's Commendation Awarded to Mr. Jerjees Sulaiman Zura, a Local Staff Member of the Embassy of Japan in Iraq

On December 5 (Friday), Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi decided to confer the Foreign Minister's Commendation on Mr. Jerjees Sulaiman Zura, a local staff member of the Embassy of Japan in Iraq who was killed in the suburbs of Tikrit while driving with Ambassador Katsuhiko Oku of the Embassy of Japan in the U.K. and First Secretary Masamori Inoue of the Embassy of Japan in Iraq, in consideration of his tremendous contributions through his duties at the Embassy of Japan in Iraq. The certificate of commendation and a silver cup from Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi will be sent to his family through the Embassy of Japan in Iraq.
