FEALAC Ministers' statement on the situation in Haiti

We, the Foreign Ministers of FEALAC member states, express our deepest sorrow for the tragic loss of lives and suffering of the Haitian people and others residing in Haiti caused by destructive earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January 2010. We reaffirm our solidarity with the government and people of Haiti and the families of the victims. We also convey our deepest sympathy to the United Nations and to all countries participating in the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) for the tragic demise of their team members and for the destruction of MINUSTAH's UN headquarters. We call for continued efforts to rescue the victims and support the reconstruction of Haiti.
