The 15th Japan-CARICOM Consultation

The 15th Japan-CARICOM Consultation was held on July 23, 2012 at the CARICOM Secretariat in Guyana.
- Senior officials from Japan and CARICOM member states exchanged views on a wide range of issues including climate change and disaster management.
- The Japan-CARICOM cooperation was reviewed based on the frameworks adopted at the first and second Ministerial Meetings held in 2000 and 2010 respectively.
- The year of 2014 was designated as the Japan-CARICOM Friendship Year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Japan-CARICOM Consultation.
