Visit to Japan by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark

  1. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik Andre Henrik Christian, The Crown Prince of Denmark visited Japan from 13th (Monday) to 16th (Thursday) June 2011 to offer the condolence and express support to the Japanese people in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Tsunami and the nuclear disaster struck Japan.
  2. On Monday 13th, Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan hosted a private dinner for His Royal Highness, and His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan received an audience with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.
  3. On Tuesday 14th, His Royal Highness visited Higashi-Matsushima City in Miyagi Prefecture, there he visited children of disaster victims to cheer up them as well as handed over donations and relief goods from private companies to the City. Furthermore, on the same day, His Royal Highness borded a Higashi-Matsushima sightseeing cruse, to appeal the beauty of Tohoku district sightseeing toward in and out of Japan.

    On Wednesday 15th, His Royal Highness participated in a seminar on renewable energy and reconstruction, and visited a few companies.
  4. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates a sense of solidarity expressed and assistance extended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik and people of Denmark.
