Diplomatic Relations:

  • Established on 7th September 1992.
  • Embassy of the Republic of Armenia opened in Tokyo on 13 July 2010
  • Embassy of Japan opened in Yerevan on 1 January 2015.

Trade with Japan (2023):

  • Exports from Japan: 3.25 billion yen (construction machines, motor vehicles, essential oils and perfume, electrical machinery, rubber tires and tubes, etc.)
  • Imports to Japan: 4.76 billion yen (clothing, aluminum and aluminum alloys, tobacco, inorganic chemicals, etc.)
