- UNDP’s ’Gender and remittances’ project: building gender responsive local development ($250,000)
- Status

(i) Research findings reveal the importance of remittances and migration flows for rural women and their communities. (ii) The majority of households use monthly remittances on food, housing, transportation, education and health care. (iii) This multi-country study has provided significant points of analysis and fruitful lessons that can be related to situations in other countries (see details of each country study). (iv) A collaborative shared workspace has been created to review and coordinate the flow of information.
