Exhibition: Schools of Dreams Pictured by Children of Africa and Japan

- "Exhibition: Schools of Dreams Pictured by Children of Africa and Japan" will be held from July 1 (Friday) to July 29 (Friday) at the UNICEF House in Shinagawa Ward under the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Japan and the Japan Committee for UNICEF.
- A total of approximately 40 drawings by primary school students from 11 African countries (Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, Nigeria, Madagascar, South Africa, Morocco and Zambia) as well as Japan are displayed at this exhibition.
- The outstanding pieces selected by the Panel of Judges, which is headed by former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, and includes Mr. Katsuhiko Hibino, an artist, and Ms. Hiromi Ushijima, an illustrator will be awarded prizes.
- This year could well be referred to as the "Year of Africa" as African issues are receiving high attention from the international community. It is the co-sponsors' wish that the exhibition contributes to promoting changes and mutual understanding between Japan and Africa.
