Statement by the Chief Cabinet Secretary on the Visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan
Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan made an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium.
Their Majesties traveled for 14 days from June 13, and returned to Japan today, on June 26 safe and sound.
During their stay in both countries, Their Majesties received a heartwarming welcome from His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as His Majesty King Philippe and Her Majesty Queen Mathilde in the Kingdom of Belgium, along with other distinguished persons.
Their Majesties had many opportunities to closely interact and heartily communicate with the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium. It is truly a matter for congratulation that Their Majesties’ visit has made a great contribution to the advancement of friendly relations between Japan and both countries.
It is expected that, through this visit, friendly relations between Japan and both countries will be strengthened even further in future.
