Courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII by Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Ami Bera

On October 23, commencing at 2:00 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Ami Bera.
- State Minister HORII welcomed Representative Bera’s visit to Japan and expressed his pleasure at meeting with the Representative again. State Minister HORII also conveyed his sincere gratitude for Representative Bera’s continued and steadfast support for Japan.
- State Minister HORII reiterated that he would like to further strengthen cooperation on a wide range of fields including economic security, the economy, and security, and make the Japan-U.S. Alliance even more robust.
- Representative Bera made a reference to the importance of Japan-U.S. cooperation and they exchanged views on issues such as the regional situation.
