Meeting between State Minister for Foreign Affairs NAKASONE and Mr. Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Republic of India

On October 21, commencing at 10:40 a.m. for approximately 25 minutes, Mr. NAKASONE Yasutaka, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a meeting with Mr. Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Republic of India.
- State Minister NAKASONE stated that Japan and India are deepening cooperation across a wide range of fields under their "Special Strategic and Global Partnership," and expressed his intention to strengthen economic cooperation, including in the semiconductor sector, with the state of Gujarat, where many Japanese companies have established a presence, and called for further collaboration. He also stated that he would like to promote regional partnerships and exchanges as both countries celebrate next year’s 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and India.
- In response, Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi stated that he would like to further deepen cooperation between Japan and the state of Gujarat.
