Courtesy Call on State-Minister NAKASONE by Major General Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to Japan

On September 28, Mr. NAKASONE Yasutaka, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Major General Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to India (with concurrent accreditation to Japan).
- State-Minister NAKASONE stated that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bhutan, and he would like to further accelerate this memorable year. He also mentioned that the bilateral relations between Japan and Bhutan have been developing with exchanges between Imperial Family of Japan and Royal Family of Bhutan and the visits by other high-level officials, as well as economic cooperation. He expressed his will to further support the development of Bhutan.
- Ambassador Namgyel expressed his gratitude to the support extended by the government of Japan to Bhutan till today, and his will to further contribute to promoting Japan-Bhutan relations for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bhutan.
