Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII by the Viscount Trenchard

On September 28, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by Hugh Trenchard, 3rd Viscount Trenchard, former Member of the House of Lords and Co-Chairman of the UK-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, the United Kingdom.
- State Minister HORII expressed his respect for Lord Trenchard, acknowledging his significant role in advancing Japan-UK relations through his activities as a member of Keizai Doyukai (Japan Association of Corporate Executives), Co-Chairman of the Japan Society, and Co-Chair of the British-Japan Parliamentary Group, among others.
- In response, Lord Trenchard stated that he intends to continue supporting the strengthening of Japan-UK relations in various ways.
- The two sides also exchanged views on Japan-UK cooperation across a wide range of fields including security, economy and economic security, advanced technology.
