The 13th Consular Dialogue between Japan and the Islamic Republic of Iran

On August 31, the 13th Consular Dialogue between Japan and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Tokyo. Mr. MIBAE Taisuke, Assistant Minister/Director-General of the Consular Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Mojtaba Shasti Karimi, Director-General of the Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran attended the Dialogue, both with the participation of other officials in charge.
- At the Dialogue, the two sides addressed matters of mutual interest including issues related to their own nationals residing in each other’s countries, and exchanged views in a constructive manner. They concurred on working together to also address other consular issues between the two countries.
- The timing and other details for the next Dialogue will be arranged later on through diplomatic channels.
