Foreign Minister MOTEGI’s Visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sultanate of Oman

Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman from August 17 to August 22.
Through this visit, Minister MOTEGI, in light of the current situation in the Middle East, will have meetings with key government officials of each country and the legitimate Yemeni government official based in Saudi Arabia, to reaffirm cooperation towards the early de-escalation of the situation and ensuring the free and safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and to exchange views on strengthening bilateral relations across a wide range of fields.
