Following the announcement of passing of His Excellency Zhu Rongji, former Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, on August 13, Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan extended her messages of condolence respectively to H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan extended his message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, referring to former Premier Zhu’s contributions to the development of Japan–China relations.
