On August 12, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the 7th Japan-Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Level Consultation was held between Mr. NAMAZU Hi-royuki, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and H.E. Mr. Asad Alam Siam, Foreign Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

During the consultation, the two sides confirmed that they will fur-ther strengthen the bilateral relations in a wide range of areas, including se-curity, economy, economic cooperation, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, under the "Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership," and ex-changed views on international issues and regional situations.
