The 11th Consular Forum between Japan and the Federative Republic of Brazil

On July 27, the 11th Consular Forum between Japan and the Federative Republic of Brazil was held in Brasilia. Mr. MIBAE Taisuke, Assistant Minister/Director-General of the Consular Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Ambassador Márcia Loureiro, Secretary of Brazilian Communities, Consular and Legal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, attended the consultation, both with the participation of other officials in charge.
- At the Forum, the two sides addressed matters of mutual interests including issues related to their own nationals residing in each other country, and exchanged views in a constructive manner with the aim of further promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. They concurred on working together to also address other consular issues between the two countries.
- The next Forum will be held in Japan. The timing will be scheduled later on through diplomatic channels.
