Dispatch of Ambassador on Special Mission (State Minister for Foreign Affairs) to the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Peru

On July 24, the Government of Japan decided to send Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, as Ambassador on Special Mission to the inauguration ceremony of H.E. Ms. Keiko Sofia FUJIMORI HIGUCHI, President of the Republic of Peru, to be held in Lima, the capital of the Republic of Peru, on July 28.

Japan and Peru are strategic partners sharing values and principles, and through diplomatic relations spanning more than 150 years, the two countries have deepened their cooperative ties in various fields, including politics, economy, and culture. In order to further develop this amicable relationship between our two countries, the Government of Japan decided to appoint State Minister HORII as Ambassador on Special Mission to the ceremony.
