The First Working Group of the Japan-Jordan Public-Private Joint Committee

On July 23, 2026, the First Working Group of the Japan-Jordan Public-Private Joint Committee was held in Amman, Jordan.
- This Working Group was held as a follow-up to the agreement to establish the Committee reached at the Japan-Jordan Summit Meeting in November 2025, as well as the First Meeting of the Japan-Jordan Public-Private Joint Committee held in February 2026.
- During the Working Group, participants exchanged views on the challenges faced by business communities and ways to address them and enhance the business environment . In addition, the Jordanian side provided explanations regarding the country's investment environment and business opportunities. Furthermore, both sides confirmed that they would continue to cooperate closely toward further strengthening economic relations and creating concrete cooperation projects between Japan and Jordan.
- From the Japanese side, Japanese companies operating in Jordan, relevant organizations, and the Embassy of Japan in Jordan participated in the Working Group. From the Jordanian side, representatives from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, the Ministry of Investment, and relevant companies, among others, attended the meeting.
