Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU by the Philippine delegation headed by Senator Zubiri

On July 10, commencing at 2:00 p.m., for approximately 20 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by the delegation led by Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri of the Philippines, who are visiting Japan.
- State Minister KUNIMITSU, referring that the Philippines is one of Japan's closest like-minded partners that shares fundamental values and principles, welcomed the significant development of cooperation between the two countries across a wide range of fields in recent years. She also expressed her hope for the deepening of mutual understanding through people-to-people exchanges, including among the younger generation, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines.
- In response, Senator Zubiri and his delegation expressed their intention to contribute to the further development of bilateral relations through people-to-people exchanges.
