Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU by H.E. Mr. Andres UNGA, Ambassador-Designate of Estonia to Japan

On July 8, commencing at 4:30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Andres UNGA, Ambassador-Designate of Estonia to Japan.
- At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU welcomed Ambassador-Designate UNGA upon his assumption of office in Japan and expressed her expectation that he would play an active role in further developing Japan–Estonia relations.
- State Minister KUNIMITSU also noted that Japan and Estonia are important partners sharing values and principles such as freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. She stated that she was pleased to see bilateral cooperation steadily deepening across a wide range of fields, including politics, security and economic areas.
- Both sides exchanged views on the regional situation, including the current situation in Ukraine, and confirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations across a wide range of areas.
