Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU by Mr. Faris Derrij, CEO of OCP Nutricrops of Morocco

On July 8, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Mr. Faris Derrij, CEO of OCP Nutricrops of the Kingdom of Morocco.
- At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU referred to the Japan-Morocco Joint Communiqué issued by the two foreign ministers in May this year, which reaffirmed both countries' commitment to strengthening cooperation in the field of food security and to the stable supply of phosphate fertilizers. She expressed Japan's intention to further deepen the "strategic and mutually beneficial relationship" in this field through enhanced cooperation with the OCP Group.
- CEO Derrij expressed Morocco's desire to advance cooperation with Japan in this field.
- Both sides reaffirmed that the two countries have built a solid cooperation over many years across a wide range of areas, including agriculture and water resource management. State Minister KUNIMITSU expressed her expectation that this visit to Japan would serve as an opportunity for cooperation between Japan and OCP Group to advance steadily to the next stage.
