State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU’s Attendance at the Japan Disaster Relief Medical Team’s Departure Ceremony in Response to the Earthquake Damage in Venezuela

On July 4, the Departure Ceremony for the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Medical Team dispatched in response to the earthquake damage in Venezuela was held at Haneda Airport. Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Miniter for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended and delivered remarks.

State Minister KUNIMITSU stated that Japan and Venezuela have built a friendly relationship and Japan received aid supplies from Venezuela during the Great East Japan Earthquake. While encouraging members of the JDR Medical Team, she mentioned that going to Venezuela to provide support for the affected people will further strengthen the ties between two countries for the future.
