  1. On June 30, Mr. ONISHI Yohei and Mr. SHIMADA Tomoaki, Parliamentary Vice-Ministers for Foreign Affairs, attended the 80th Independence Day Reception of Jordan hosted by the Embassy of Jordan in Japan.
  2. Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI, in his opening remarks at the reception, extended his congratulations on the 80th anniversary of Jordan's independence and expressed his respect for Jordan's significant contributions toward de-escalation of the regional situation and the promotion of dialogue as a cornerstone of stability in the Middle East. He also noted that a robust cooperative relationship has been built through progress in the security field as well as Japan’s continuous assistance, and expressed his expectations for further strengthening the bilateral relations under the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
