Exchange of Letters between the Foreign Ministers of Japan and Tunisia on the Occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations

On June 26, Japan and Tunisia celebrated the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
On this day, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Foreign Minister of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia, exchanged letters celebrating the 70th anniversary, reaffirming that the two countries have built close ties in a wide range of fields, including political, economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges, since Tunisia's independence in 1956. The letters also expressed hope that various anniversary events would serve as an opportunity to deepen the bonds of friendship between the two peoples.
