On June 23, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the 2026 Memorial Ceremony to Commemorate the Fallen in the Battle of Okinawa held at the Peace Memorial Park in Mabuni, Itoman City, Okinawa Prefecture, and offered his deepest condolences to the souls of those who perished on the battlefield and those who lost their lives in the ravages of war.
