Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs SHIMADA by H.E. Mr. Daba Debele Hunde, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Japan

On June 18, from 10:50 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs SHIMADA Tomoaki received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Daba Debele Hunde, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Japan.
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister SHIMADA noted that Japan and Ethiopia have maintained and developed a strong relationship over many years since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1930, and expressed his intention to further strengthening the friendly relationship in the future.
- In response, Ambassador Daba expressed his gratitude for Japan's assistance to Ethiopia, and explained situations in Ethiopia, including its recent General Election.
- Furthermore, both sides exchanged views on ways to further deepen the bilateral cooperative relationship, including in the economic field.
