Courtesy Call on State Minister KUNIMITSU by Ms. Yokota, Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture

On June 3, from 4:20 PM for approximately 15 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Ms. YOKOTA Mika, Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture.
- At the outset, Governor Yokota handed State Minister KUNIMITSU a petition on strengthening efforts toward the abolition of nuclear weapons and provided an overview of the petition.
- In response, State Minister KUNIMITSU explained the government's efforts regarding its foreign policy in the area of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, including at the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) Review Conference.
- The two sides exchanged views including on efforts towards a world without nuclear weapons.
