Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI by Mr. Valentini, Vice-Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy of the Italian Republic

On May 27, commencing at 11:40 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Mr. Valentino Valentini, Vice-Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy of the Italian Republic.
- At the outset, Vice-Minister Valentini stated that his current visit to Japan, with the aim of participating in meetings including the annual meeting of the Italy-Japan Business Group (IJBG) held in Nagoya on May 26 and the first meeting of the Japan-Italy Economic Security Consultations held in Tokyo on May 27, would contribute to strengthening cooperation in the fields of economy and economic security. He expressed Italy’s intention to cooperate closely with Japan in addressing various challenges.
- In response, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI welcomed Vice-Minister Valentini’s visit to Japan and expressed her pleasure in being able to cooperate with Italy, a trusted partner, across a wide range of fields, and her hope to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation.
- Both sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues including cooperation in the fields of economy and economic security, as well as on international affairs.
