The 4th Japan-OHCHR Policy Consultation (Results)

On May 15, the 4th Policy Consultation between Japan and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

  1. Amb. KAIHARA Kentaro, Ambassador in charge of UN Affairs and Deputy Director-General, Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, from the Japanese side, and Mr. Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, from the OHCHR side, both with the participation of other officials, attended the consultation.
  2. The two sides exchanged views on the international environment surrounding human rights, strengthening cooperation between Japan and OHCHR, and human rights situations in Asia, among other topics, and concurred on strengthening the relationship between the two parties.
