On April 21, commencing at 3:25 p.m. for approximately 40 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Finland.

  1. At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU welcomed the delegation's visit to Japan, stating that Finland is a strategic partner of Japan that shares common values and principles, and expressed her hope to develop bilateral relations in broad areas. In response, Mr. Johannes KOSKINEN, head of delegation and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, stated that Finland would like to continue close cooperation with Japan.
  2. The two sides exchanged views on wide range of topics, including the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as regional situations such as those in East Asia, Ukraine, and the Middle East.
