Reception Hosted by State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU to Commemorate "the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Bhutan and the Visit to Japan by Prime Minister Tobgay of Bhutan"

On March 16, at the Iikura Guest House, a reception hosted by Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, was held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bhutan and the visit to Japan by H.E. Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan, and Mrs. Doma. Approximately 100 participants attended the reception, including the Prime Minister and Mrs. Doma, and others with ties to Bhutan from both countries.
- At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU welcomed the visit of Prime Minister Tobgay and Mrs. Doma, and expressed her gratitude to the individuals from both countries who have contributed to the development of the robust Japan-Bhutan relationship.
- Following this, Prime Minister Tobgay delivered a speech expressing his appreciation for Japan's warm hospitality and the support extended by those involved.
- In a cordial atmosphere, participants from both Japan and Bhutan deepened their mutual friendship, creating an opportunity to heighten momentum towards the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bhutan this year.
