Courtesy Call on Foreign Minister MOTEGI by Japanese American Leaders

On March 10, commencing at 2:00 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Ms. Audrey Yamamoto, President & CEO of the US-Japan Council, and nine Japanese American leaders who were invited to Japan by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The overview is as follows.
- Foreign Minister MOTEGI welcomed the delegation’s visit to Japan and stated that the Japanese American community has long been an important presence supporting mutual understanding and trust between Japan and the United States. He also stated that the Government of Japan intends to support the development of a vibrant Japanese American community in order to further enhance the relationship of trust between Japan and the United States.
- The delegation expressed their deep appreciation for the invitation to Japan and stated that each of them intends to continue contributing to the strengthening of Japan–U.S. relations.
