Virtual Trade Ministerial Meeting on Critical Minerals hosted by Ambassador Jamieson Greer, United States Trade Representative
On February 13, a virtual trade ministerial meeting on critical minerals, hosted by The Honorable Ambassador Jamieson Greer, United States Trade Representative, was held. From Japan, along with Mr. AKAZAWA Ryosei, Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. AKAHORI Takeshi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, representing Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives of Australia, Canada, European Union, French Republic, Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of India, Italian Republic, United Mexican States, Republic of Korea, and United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
In the meeting, active discussions took place regarding cooperation among like-minded countries in building resilient supply chains for critical minerals.
