The 11th Japan-ROK Director-General Consultations on the Middle East

On February 6, the 11th Japan-the Republic of Korea (ROK) Director-General Consultations on the Middle East was held in Tokyo between Mr. IWAMOTO Keiichi, Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, and H.E. Mr. CHUNG Kwang-yong, Director-General for African and Middle Eastern Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of topics surrounding the Middle East and North Africa, with a particular focus on the situation in Gaza and Iran. Both sides reaffirmed their cooperation regarding the efforts on stabilization of the Middle East including the support for Palestine. Both sides also confirmed that they will maintain close communications.
