The 19th Japan-NATO High-Level Consultations

On January 26, the 19th Japan-NATO High-Level Consultations were held in Brussel, Belgium.

  1. The Japanese delegation was headed by Mr. NAMAZU Hiroyuki, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and the NATO delegation was headed by H.E. Ambassador Boris Ruge, Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, NATO. Officials from the Ministry of Defense also attended on the Japanese side.
  2. During the consultations, the two sides confirmed that the security of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific is closely linked and that they will continue to cooperate in strengthening the Japan-NATO relationship and NATO-IP4 relationships, and they discussed regional situations in East Asia and Europe.
