Telephone Call between Assistant Minister KANAI and U.S. Assistant Secretary DeSombre

On January 7, Mr. KANAI Masaaki, Assistant Minister and Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a telephone call with Ambassador Michael George DeSombre, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Department of State of the United States of America. They exchanged views on the current regional situation and reconfirmed close coordination between Japan and the United States.
