Declassification of Diplomatic Records

Files which are declassified

On December 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan declassifies 17 files of diplomatic records at the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The files include records of the following diplomatic events in 1994:

  • The Visit of Foreign Minister HATA to China
  • The Japan-U.S. Summit Meeting (Prime Minister HOSOKAWA and President CLINTON)
  • The Visit of Prime Minister HOSOKAWA to China
  • The Visit of Foreign Minister KAKIZAWA to the Middle East region
  • The 20th G7 Summit Meeting (Napoli Summit)
  • The First Meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF)
  • The Japan-Unisted States Framework for a New Economic Partnership
