Agreement in Principle on Agreement for Japan's association to Horizon Europe

The Government of Japan has been negotiating with the European Commission on an Agreement for Japan's association to Horizon Europe since December 2024.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement in principle was reached on the Agreement on December 22. Both sides will continue to work on necessary procedures, such as finalizing the draft text of the Agreement, for the signing of the Agreement.
