Signing of the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Concerning Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

On December 18, commencing at 10:45 p.m. Japan time (same day, 2:45 p.m. local time) in The Hague, the Netherlands, the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Concerning Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (“Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement”, or ACSA) was signed by Mr. MICHII Rokuichiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Netherlands, and H.E. Mr. Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
- The Agreement establishes a framework such as the settlement procedures for the reciprocal provision of supplies and services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
- The Agreement will facilitate the smooth and prompt provision of supplies and services between the Self-Defense Forces of Japan and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Agreement will also promote their closer cooperation and enable them to actively contribute to peace and security of the international community.
