Emergency Grant in response to the flood disaster in the Central region of Viet Nam

On December 12, the Government of Japan decided to extend an Emergency Grant of USD 1.5 million to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in response to the devastating damages caused by floods in the central region.
- With this Emergency Grant, Japan will implement humanitarian assistance in the areas of Non-food Items, water, sanitation and hygiene through the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
- The Government of Japan intends to closely coordinate with relevant countries and organizations for the earliest recovery of the affected areas.
